Epionce Chemical Peel

Chemical peels can be a very important part of your skin care routine. Perhaps the term ‘Chemical’ makes you think of an un-natural process. This treatment is quite the opposite. The Epionce™ Peel System utilizes the power of nature! It features good things like naturally occurring fruit acids and enzymes to prompt your skin to increase its cellular turnover. This means that the collagen production, which slows as we age, is sped back up.

ID-10084698With the increase in your collagen production, the top layer of your skin cells will slough off, hence the word peel. This light peeling happens gradually and is typically completed within 4-5 days after a treatment.

In Preparation

I will provide you sample sizes of Epionce™ Milky Lotion Cleanser or Epionce™ Gentle Foaming Cleanser, Epionce™ Medical Barrier Cream, and Epionce™ Ultra Shield Lotion SPF 50 for your post treatment at home.

The Treatment

Prior to Treatment it is recommended that you cleanse the treated area about every 12 hours with a gentle cleanser, such as Epionce™ Milky Lotion Cleanser or Epionce™ Gentle Foaming Cleanser, for the first 3-4 days. After cleansing, or if the treated area begins to feel dry, apply Epionce™ Medical Barrier Cream followed by two applications of Epionce™ Ultra Shield Lotion SPF 50 with the second application applied 30 minutes after the first one. You should be able to continue your normal skin care program after 3-4 days, making sure to apply sunscreen daily, year round.

What You Should Know

Your skin may be red for a few hours post treatment. You may also have a warm, sunburn-like sensation lasting from a few hours to a couple of days.  Some clients experience mild flaking or peeling up to one week after their treatment. Your skin may feel rough and dry during this time.
